Recently however, I re-visited the Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown by Rimmel London and compared it with my usual Constance Carroll eyebrow pencil in 001 Black. After tweaking and plucking my eyebrows I then evened out the colouring and shape using the Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown by Rimmel London on my right eyebrow. At first, there was a noticeable brown line present amongst the hairs and definitely did not match the colour of my dark brows. However, the bonus of the Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown by Rimmel London is that the pencil comes with a small eyebrow brush on the lid which I used to sweep the colour across the brow. As a comparison I applied the Constance Carroll eyebrow pencil in 001 Black to my left eyebrow and the difference was obvious. The right eyebrow looked more natural than the much darker left eyebrow. The key is definitely to use the sweeping eyebrow brush Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown by Rimmel London as it blends the colour making it look more natural. I've since come to realise that unfortunately my beloved Constance Carroll eyebrow pencil in 001 Black is just too black for my skin tone.
What's your favourite eyebrow pencil? Have you used either the Constance Carroll eyebrow pencil in 001 Black or the Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown by Rimmel London? Let me know in the comments below xx
