I was a bit sneaky with this one. I'd already bought the full size Nivea in Shower Body Moisturiser with Almond Oil before I received a small sample. I've been using the full size bottle for some time and I think it's a really innovative product. Without exaggerating I probably have about 20 different moisturisers in my room alone as I try a new one every time it's released, (that's without counting the others in the house). The Nivea in Shower Body Moisturiser has permanent residence at my boyfriend's house because realistically I think he would have a heart attack if I carted all 20 moisturisers to his every time I visited.
Although I was excited about trying this I was wary. How can you have an in shower moisturiser and will it even work? When I first started using it I didn't realise just how thick the moisturiser was. I applied a lot to the skin at first which of course didn't sink into the skin. The small sample packet that I recently tried however has the perfect amount for one application. There are two products available in the range, the Almond Oil for dry skin in Shower Moisturiser or the Sea Minerals for normal skin. I decided to try the Almond Oil moisturiser because I thought it would be a light formula with oil in the title. In hindsight I probably should have bought the sea minerals moisturiser which works to exfoliate and smooth your skin at the same time. As the Almond Oil moisturiser is quite thick, it's a god send post shave. It helps to soothe any cuts and is gentle enough that it won't sting the legs.
It's described as a conditioner for your body which you apply after your shower gel or soap and wash off. It doesn't sink into the skin immediately but it is a really convenient product. You notice it more when you leave the shower as it gets to work then and sinks into your skin. As the skin is thicker on the legs it takes a little longer for it to properly sink in but it's less restrictive than other moisturisers. You can get dressed as soon as you're out of the shower so no more waiting around until it dries.
At £3.95 for 250ml it's a really great price and does exactly what it says on the bottle. I really like Nivea products although I've found all of the ones I've used have quite a thick consistency. This is great if you have really dry skin but this isn't an issue for me as it's only my face that dries out.
