I received the Nivea Visage Q10 plus Anti-Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream as part of an offer on the Nivea website. If you bought any product you got the Tinted Day Cream free. I'm not really a fan of tinted moisturisers as they never provide enough coverage for me. I used to use them a lot before I started using foundation but the lack of coverage is a real issue for me. I've tried other ones in the past and never really been satisfied with the product. Unfortunately the Nivea Visage Q10 plus Anti-Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream evokes the same reaction.
There are several things that I disliked about this product. Like most of Nivea's moisturisers it's quite greasy and you don't need to apply a lot. It doesn't seem to sink into the skin and just sits on top of the skin. As a consequence of this my face was glowing and shiny all day. The Nivea Visage Q10 plus Anti-Wrinkle Tinted Day Cream promises to 'enhance your natural skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.' My skin colour didn't appear any different but it was shiny which I assume that's what it means by enhancing my skin tone. All other tinted moisturisers that I've tried are normally white when you apply it but this one is a light biscuit colour. It also smells a little bit like false tan although the biscuit smell isn't as overpowering as other fake tans. My face did however feel quite smooth but as my skin also felt greasy the two don't really compliment each other.
It's not all doom and gloom though as you can use it as a base for your make up. It has SPF15 in the formula and it helps to even out the appearance of wrinkles. I can't really test that theory out at 23. As the moisturiser doesn't sink into the skin properly I personally wouldn't use this as a make up base as it makes it harder for your skin to breathe. If you're going to use it I wouldn't use foundation over the top but just be prepared to hide any blemishes with concealer if need be. It's available to buy for around £5 from Amazon for a 50ml bottle but it's not going to change my life any time soon.
