Exposed Skin Care Acne Treatment face wash tried and tested

I purchased this product about a year ago and have been waiting for an opportunity to post my review. I tried the Exposed Skin Care Acne Treatment for four days, usually I applied it twice a day before application of make-up and at night when the face was clean.

You are required to wet the face and massage the foaming lotion in, leaving it to set for around 10 -15 seconds before completely washing it off and patting the face dry. After the application, my face was noticeably brighter and within two days my spots dried up.

At 120ml it should last a while but it can be used up to three or four times a day. Personally, I think one application per day suffices as it can be quite harsh on the skin. It's a little bit pricey, I paid £16 for the size I have but other retailers sell the product from £18 and up from ebay or the exposed skin care website.

I use a combination of Nivea, Witch Hazel and various other natural products on my face, (an indicator of my skin type; dry, oily but also incredibly sensitive). As a warning the Exposed Skin Care Acne Treatment can cause dryness from constant use. Four days in however and my face became dry and itchy.

I initially decided to try it as I am a fan of herbal remedies and medicines and it was the 'Sage extract' that was the clincher for me buying the product. It is packed full of natural ingredients and plant extracts, but also has an incredibly strong ingredient, Salicylic Acid. The product doesn't contain much at 0.5% but that's all that is needed! It is recommended that you use a good moisturiser alongside the product as dryness and itchiness do occur as it works to dry out the spots. Coconut oil is a miracle product alongside the Acne Treatment but any thick moisturiser will help to rehydrate the skin.

My skin definitely brightened and became smoother whilst visibly drying out my spots. The Exposed Skin Care Acne Treatment may not have completely ridded my skin of spots but by taking these preventive measures they work in combination with the product to visibly reduce the appearance of spots/acne. Through many years of picking and squeezing the skin I bare the prominent reminder of scars on my face. I cannot promise the advice above will rid acne scars but it will prevent further spots developing.
